In the edit window there is exist a special column with the genre name. If the user knows the genre exactly, he could paste it manually for each mp3 file editing, or use our group (mass) edit/paste internal function. Then, if the user updates the tags, our software works with two tags: for ID3v1 tags our software checks the equality of the string values with special standard database, and if the genre is the standard for ID3v1 tag, the special code will be written to the ID3v1 tag. For the ID3v2 tag any genre will be accepted, cause there are no any restricts about the genre names and this name will be saved to the ID3v2 tag as the string value. You can check it with any mp3 file using the genre "MyStyle" for example, and then you will see it name in our software. Be sure that you checked "ID3V2" checkbox at "ID3 TAG Update" panel. If the mp3 player fully or basically supports ID3v2 tags, your personal genre "MyStyle" will be shown.
